Business Development Manager – Germany (ideally based in central Germany)
€55,000 – €75,000 + up to 50% bonus + car + benefits
SR2 are partnering with a high‑growth, well‑funded UK‑based cleantech business that is expanding into Germany. With a strong track record of success in the UK, they are now building out a brand‑new German sales function – and this is a key hire to drive that growth.
This is a field‑based, client‑facing role suited to a driven, entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives on winning new business and building relationships across a fragmented market.
What you’ll be doing:
Driving new business across Germany, with a focus on the South (OEM and dealer hubs)
Building and growing a network of:
Wholesalers
OEMs and dealerships
Managing the full sales cycle:
Prospecting and lead generation
Client meetings (3–5 per week)
Presentations, proposals, negotiation and closing
Developing pipeline and consistently hitting/exceeding revenue targets
Identifying cross‑sell and upsell opportunities across hardware, software and services
Representing the business at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities
Feeding back market insights and customer needs to shape strategy
What we’re looking for:
2–4 years B2B sales experience (field sales preferred)
Proven “hunter” mentality – proactive, driven and opportunity‑focused
Comfortable selling into:
Wholesalers
Automotive or adjacent channels
Highly motivated, entrepreneurial and confident in building a market from scratch
Strong communication skills – able to simplify complex products
Willingness to travel extensively (Germany + occasional UK travel)
