
Multicraft Plant Maintenance Technician

Step into a day that runs 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. As a Multicraft Plant Maintenance Technician, you’re the go‑to problem solver who keeps equipment reliable, projects on track, and the grounds looking sharp.
What your day may look like
Start with a walkthrough, checking priority work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. You’ll perform hands‑on maintenance across building and plant equipment, carry out hose testing per SOP requirements, and keep the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program current. When new lines or processes are needed, you’ll fabricate and install them, partnering with management and outside contractors on plant improvements and new projects. Between tasks, you help ensure our property and grounds remain tidy and professional.
Responsibilities
Perform daily maintenance on building systems and plant equipment.
Conduct hose testing in accordance with SOPs and document as required.
Fabricate and install equipment and process improvements.
Keep the PM program up to date on all required assets.
Maintain a neat, orderly appearance of the facility, grounds, and property.
Immediately report actual or potential food safety concerns to your supervisor or the SQF Practitioner.
Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence by supporting high‑quality facilities, products, and services.
Follow all relevant SOPs; perform additional duties as assigned.
Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health and safety, and process training; review changes with your supervisor; maintain RCRA compliance.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Hands‑on skills in welding, electrical wiring, plumbing, pipefitting, and carpentry; exposure to heating/refrigeration is a plus.
Knowledge of safe, proper welding practices.
Clear communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, and speak English.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance and Inspection.
Reporting Line
This role reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Compensation and Benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
