Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist in Maryland Heights, MO or San Diego, CA.
This role will be working alongside The Boeing Company\'s Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization within the Information, Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) team.
Position Responsibilities
Own end-to-end procurement activities including, but not limited to, early engagement with stakeholders, sourcing strategy development, RFP authoring, proposal analysis, terms and conditions negotiation, and purchase orders.
Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and market offerings.
Develop source selection, negotiation, and contracting strategies that satisfy customer needs.
Negotiate long-term agreements (terms and conditions).
Create and oversee strategic contracts.
Engage in stakeholder and contract lifecycle management.
Support the objectives of other teams: legal counsel, security, procurement, trade compliance, manufacturing, program office, engineering, program controls, supply chain, and quality assurance.
Support the development and implementation of category strategies.
Demonstrate strong business and financial insight.
Recommend and implement supply chain process improvements.
Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and develop implementation plans.
Support and collaborate with strategic Boeing subsidiaries.
Ensure supplier compliance with company terms and conditions along with other trade compliance/legal requirements.
Support FAR/DFARS compliance activities and ensure team adherence to internal processes in alignment with DCAA audit requirements and AS9100 standards.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, or contracts.
Experience collaborating with IT suppliers and negotiating IT contracts.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
3+ years of experience negotiating, interpreting, and editing terms and conditions leveraging the support of a contracts team.
3+ years of experience collaborating with IT suppliers and negotiating IT contracts.
3+ years of experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements.
Project leadership skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
Professional verbal and written communication skills, frequently leveraged when presenting to all levels of an organization.
Experience working with international suppliers.
Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and relevant procurement regulations.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint software.
