Overview

GLENAIRE

is hiring for a Floor Technician/Custodian. This shift is noon-8:30 pm.
Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day environmental service functions as assigned, including on-call and weekend schedules.
Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
Perform self-inspections.
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Burnish floors with a high-speed burnisher.
Strip wax from floors using a low-speed burnisher.
Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. Ensure appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing duties.
Clean carpets and mats, including vacuuming, bonnet cleaning, deodorizing, extracting, spotting, and disinfecting.
Clean walls, doors, handles/knobs, ceilings, light fixtures, vents, switches/receptacles covers, thermostats, windows, baseboards, and pictures by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
Clean hallways, office areas, stairways, and elevators.
Discard waste/trash into proper containers; clean/disinfect waste receptacles and line with plastic liners.
Collect and dispose of infectious waste per facility policy.
Incorporate infection control procedures into daily tasks.
Incorporate safety procedures into daily tasks.
Maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment; maintain the appearance of environmental service areas for sanitation, order, and safety.
Move furniture as needed.
Pick up recycle and transport to designated area for City pickup.
Ensure work areas and equipment are properly stored, including before breaks, meals, and end of day.
Assist in laundry and environmental service areas as needed.
Drive company vehicle as assigned.
Attend monthly staff meetings, or as needed, to help identify and correct problem areas and improve services.
