Summary
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities for designated mechanical, plumbing, and sheet metal construction projects. Your role involves ensuring that project goals are achieved in a timely manner and within budget. You'll oversee all aspects of project management, including budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, documentation, meetings, billings, and project closeout.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of staff teams on assigned projects.
Oversee project administration and documentation to prevent claims and protect the best interests of Comfort Systems USA Southwest and our clients.
Secure, review, process, and execute contract agreements expediently.
Review, edit, finalize, and distribute project budgets.
Coordinate project scheduling, procurement of materials and equipment, subcontract agreements, submittal review and approvals, billing, change conditions, and change order work.
Ensure proper staffing of assigned projects and oversee labor resource loading and productivity.
Manage overall financial performance of assigned projects, including cost control, management, and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations and practices on all projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university OR minimum 6-10 years of progressive experience in construction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project.
