Job Title: MRO Buyer
Austin, Texas | 100% onsite | Base Salary: TBD
Key Responsibilities
Procure MRO materials including spare parts, tools, consumables, and facility supplies
Manage purchase orders from requisition through delivery and invoice reconciliation
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and lead times to achieve cost savings
Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability and reduce downtime
Partner with maintenance and operations teams to forecast and plan purchasing needs
Track and analyze spending to identify cost reduction opportunities
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Maintain accurate purchasing data within ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Support urgent and emergency purchasing requests as needed
About the Opportunity
The MRO Buyer will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing and facility operations by ensuring the timely procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials. This position is highly visible within the plant and partners closely with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime, optimize inventory levels, and drive cost efficiencies. It is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, industrial environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
3‑5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, ideally within MRO or indirect sourcing
Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment required
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, plant environment
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
