Role Description
The Strategic Sourcing Lead is responsible for executing sourcing strategies that support the company’s operational, project, and aftermarket needs within the air pollution control industry. This role partners closely with the Strategic Sourcing Director to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, ensuring materials and services are sourced competitively, delivered reliably, and aligned with technical and project requirements.
You will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, project management, and sales to drive supplier performance, cost optimization, and supply continuity across a global supplier base. This role plays a key part in managing supplier relationships, navigating tariffs and global trade impacts, and building a scalable, high-performing supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Execute sourcing strategies and lead category sourcing across fabricated components, mechanical systems, MRO, and engineered equipment
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to achieve cost savings and favorable supplier agreements
Manage supplier performance through scorecards, KPIs, and regular business reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement
Lead supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding to support business and project needs
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, single-source dependencies, and geopolitical impacts
Conduct tariff analysis and support mitigation strategies, including cost impact planning and country-of-origin considerations
Partner with engineering on value engineering and alternate sourcing to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Support project teams with sourcing plans, long lead-time items, and alignment to critical milestones
What We're Looking For
Strong expertise in Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Development to identify, assess, and build relationships with high-performing supply chain partners
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain (manufacturing or engineered equipment preferred)
Strong negotiation and supplier management experience
Working knowledge of global sourcing, tariffs, and trade impacts
Experience developing supplier scorecards and performance metrics
Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and data analysis
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
