Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Specialist
Location: Fredericktown, MO

Full‑Time: Non‑Exempt - 40 hours/week

Base Pay : $20.00 - 22.40/hour, depending on experience

The PSR program is open six days a week, Monday – Saturday. A typical work day is from 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday‑Friday, with one evening shift per week (approx. 7:30pm) and rotating Saturday coverages.

What is PSR?
The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) programs in the counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry and Ste. Genevieve provide a variety of supportive and rehabilitative services to individuals living with chronic mental illnesses. PSR offers educational, career, social and recreational activities both on‑site and in the community. The program serves adult clients 18 years of age or older and operates five or more days each week, often with evening activities planned. Vans owned by the Center transport members to PSR and for community‑based activities.

Your Job as a Specialist
You would be responsible for:

Delivery of rehabilitative services, including community living skills training, recreation/socialization services, pre‑vocational skills development, client and family support, and educational assistance.

Operating the company’s 15‑passenger van to pick up and drop off consumers at the beginning and end of the day.

Working with a varied client population, ensuring no two days are the same.

Minimum Required Qualifications

BA/BS/BSW in Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, Criminal Justice Rehabilitation and Counseling or another human services related field.

A four‑year combination of mental health experience and post‑secondary education may also qualify.

Relevant mental health experience preferred.

Must hold or obtain, by start date, an MO Class E Driver’s License (Class D for IL residents) and proof of continuous auto insurance. Must also meet the CCC Motor Vehicle Record standards policy and have reliable transportation.

Must work a flexible schedule that includes some weekends and evenings.

Essential Functions

Participate in initial screening to evaluate appropriateness of clients referred for PSR services.

Participate in development of client’s individual treatment plan.

Provide transportation to and from community facilities and resources.

Provide daily living skills training, including assistance with nutrition, financial and home management, accessing community resources, recreation, pre‑vocational services, development of support systems, diagnosis and medication management.

Provide crisis intervention services for clients enrolled in PSR services as needed.

Monitor and assist client with program compliance.

Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.

Non‑Essential Functions

Maintain compliance with all policy and procedures.

Complete all required training.

Work cooperatively with other departments and members of the community.

Participate in all required meetings as determined by supervisor.

Maintain a positive attitude toward agency and clientele.

Other duties as assigned.
