The
Inventory Control Kitter
is responsible for accurately picking, preparing kits of materials, components, or parts required for production, assembly, or shipment. This role ensures all kits meet quality and quantity requirements while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient material flow throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pick and assemble materials, parts, or components according to work orders or production schedules.
Verify kit contents for accuracy, completeness, and quality prior to release.
Update inventory records and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged items.
Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and other stock control activities.
Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Identify opportunities to improve kitting processes and reduce waste.
Education and/or Experience
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Blueprint reading or Metal fabrication experience
Basic understanding of inventory systems and bills of materials
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic computer skills (ERP or inventory management software experience a plus)
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to read and write English
Bilingual - Spanish
Preferred:
Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or material handling
