Job Description
This position exists to provide mental health/crisis management services for a caseload of DYS committed youth. Duties include individual, group and family therapeutic services, case conceptualization, treatment planning, ongoing assessment, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team in a secure facility. The role requires use of evidence‑based curricula and a strength‑based approach, and may involve supervising or training other staff.
Responsibilities
Conduct individual, group, and family psychotherapy sessions using evidence‑based theories and curricula.
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans, integrating substance abuse, mental health, trauma, and special‑needs considerations.
Maintain accurate documentation in the TRAILS system and provide monthly progress updates.
Coordinate treatment with client managers, medical teams, educational and vocational services, and community partners.
Provide consultation and training to staff on treatment and milieu interventions for complex youth.
Develop transition and aftercare plans with the multidisciplinary team for youth nearing release.
Ensure adherence to DORA standards, agency policies, and state regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid Colorado or state participating
