Auria is looking to hire an Infrastructure Engineer to support the development of the Multirole Satellite Frequency In-Field Test Suites (MSFITS) program for the Department of Defense (DOD) Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Enterprise. The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and sustain secure cloud and on‑prem infrastructure while performing hardware integration, HWIL testing, and network/system configuration to ensure SATCOM/EW training systems are fully operational, compliant, and ready for delivery. This is a hybrid role located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Responsibilities

Support the design, deployment, and sustainment of development, integration, and test infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises environments, including compute, storage, networking, and platform services

Perform hardware integration, system bring‑up, and configuration of SATCOM/EW training system components, ensuring proper connectivity and alignment with approved baselines

Execute and support HWIL testing, validating data flows and system performance across hardware, software, and RF subsystems, while troubleshooting integration issues.

Implement and maintain network infrastructure and system connectivity, including routing, switching, segmentation, and secure communications across environments.

Apply and maintain cybersecurity controls and compliance, including STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, and support to RMF documentation and continuous monitoring.

Support DevSecOps and system baseline management, ensuring consistent, scalable, and properly configured environments for development, integration, and delivery

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system readiness, performance optimization, and successful delivery of deployable training systems

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)

3–7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, system integration, or lab‑based environments

Experience with networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, subnetting, and VLAN configuration; hands‑on experience with Linux and/or Windows system administration

Experience supporting hardware integration, system bring‑up, and configuration of multi‑component systems

Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) and hybrid infrastructure architectures; understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements, including STIG implementation and RMF processes; experience performing system troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network layers

Ability to work in integration labs and test environments supporting system builds and delivery timelines

Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Experience supporting SATCOM, RF systems, or Electronic Warfare (EW) platforms, including familiarity with modems, digitizers, and RF processing chains

Experience designing and managing complex enterprise network infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments (AWS, Azure); hands‑on experience with enterprise networking hardware, including Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches, wireless access points, and server infrastructure

Experience with cloud architecture and virtual desktop solutions, such as Azure VDI or AWS WorkSpaces

Familiarity with CMMC, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and DoD compliance frameworks

Experience managing PKI infrastructure, including SSL certificates and Windows Certificate Authority

Ability to analyze network performance, model traffic, and plan for scalability in high‑demand environments

Experience supporting DevSecOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) implementations

Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers or IT staff and contribute to team development; prior experience supporting defense contracting programs and working with the United States Space Force or other DoD customers

Pay Transparency
The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $120,000 - $135,000
