
Post-Doctoral Research Associate

Responsibilities
Develop probability models accounting for key environmental differences across Georgia.
Identify "at risk" archaeological sites threatened by erosion and flooding.
Collaborate with ITOS to integrate developed models into online databases.
Potentially manage undergraduate and graduate student assistants in the Laboratory.
Collaborate on publications related to the project.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Anthropology/Archaeology or related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrable knowledge of ArcGIS with regard to large‑scale modeling.
Knowledge of environmental modeling and state site file data‑sets.
Familiarity with geostatistical methods.
Experience with computer modeling; trained in ArcGIS and related software.
Familiarity with southeastern archaeology is preferred; other regional training encouraged.
Physical Demands
Seated at a computer for extended periods.
Lifting up to 40 lbs.
