Position Overview

An established hospital in Nags Head, NC is seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for inpatient Emergency Department coverage. Candidates must have recent ED inpatient experience within the last 12 months.

This is a no-call opportunity within a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment.

• Average inpatient census: 20
• Established team of 6 physicians and 3 APPs
• Specialty consult availability: general surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, and telestroke
• System-wide EMR: EPIC
• No ICU/Critical Care duties
• No call required
• Provider responsible for responding to codes

Requirements

• Active North Carolina license
• Active NC DEA
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS/APLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• ED inpatient experience within the last 12 months required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care setting

Compensation

• $100 per hour
• Weekly pay and malpractice coverage included.
