The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs Cardiopulmonary duties by hospital policy/procedure under general supervision. This can include administering respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures. This individual will be held to a high level of customer service representation and will be an active participant in the continuous quality improvement process. Serves as a resource to other employees.
Education
Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework.
Experience
One year of related experience. Requires working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
Licenses & Certifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Respiratory Care Professional
Healthcare Provider (CPR)
ACLS Certification
NRP Certification
Qualifications
Must attend S.T.A.B.L.E. baby course within 18 months of employment.
Must become certified in ACLS within 8 months of employment.
Has at least 1 year Level III NICU experience either with Tanner or at another Level III NICU facility.
