Business Analyst – Capital Markets, Infosys Consulting
The Role – What You’ll Do
As a key member of a world‑class product management team in Capital Markets, you will drive innovation, enhance user experiences, and deliver measurable business outcomes across process consulting, experience design, business & data analysis, applied AI, technology strategy, program leadership, and change management.
Responsibilities
Experience working in capital markets functions and trading instruments in Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives, and OTC.
Experience with intermediaries and service providers – Asset Servicers, Platform providers, FinTechs and Market Infrastructure.
Functional consulting services including Business Strategy, IT Strategy, Digital Transformation, Customer Experience, SI Consulting, Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Product Management.
Intensively involved in business process consulting phases from problem definition to solution creation, working with teams on development, configuration and deployment of overall solutions.
Lead requirement elicitation and specification with stakeholders to produce business or functional requirement documents / user stories; coordinate with development & QA for implementation and rollout.
Conduct strategic assessments to define future state functional/technical architecture using Design Thinking, Service Blueprinting, and other approaches.
Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to ensure smooth execution, develop features that enable business goals.
Work in an agile environment, continuously reviewing needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones & deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risks.
Facilitate decomposition sessions with technology teams to define requirements from a user perspective, including acceptance criteria and breaking large stories for sprint consumption.
Partner with tech teams to break down large stories based on estimation.
Participate in testing/review sessions and support release.
Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics in a product or platform context is a plus.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a customer‑centric mindset.
7+ years working in agile culture with 5+ years of relevant capital markets experience.
Experience as a Business System Analyst in front‑office, middle‑office or back‑office implementations.
Expertise across trade lifecycle phases and experience in Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives and OTC.
Experience in accounting functions, understanding Mexican financial products and GAAP.
Strong experience writing detailed functional requirements in JIRA, creating Epics & User stories, defining Acceptance Criteria.
Strong analytical, communication, planning and coordination skills.
SQL knowledge – ability to write queries.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize items that maximize business value while handling multiple stakeholder requests concurrently.
Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and team members for collaboration.
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
In‑depth analytical skills with ability to synthesize findings.
Experience facilitating collaborative sessions and managing customer expectations aligned with enterprise goals.
Expertise with agile tool suites including Atlassian, MS Teams or similar.
Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross‑cultural team, with flexibility to support multiple time zones.
Location – Tampa, Florida
Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills
Strong knowledge of capital markets and business models across North America.
Expertise in Techno‑Functional roles, translating business needs into actionable requirements; SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation across financial systems; regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks.
Understanding of upstream data flows and integration points for capital markets and reporting processes; proficiency in Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, Oracle SQL.
Familiarity with requirement gathering, project management tools, and Agile delivery practices.
Ability to ramp up quickly with minimal support, take ownership, and consistently deliver on timelines.
Proven track record of execution and accountability.
Willingness to support multiple time zones.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s in Engineering and Master’s in Business Administration.
