
Periop Assistant - Operating Room

The Perioperative Assistant is responsible for assisting the nurse in providing care to the geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and infant patients during the perioperative phase of their hospitalization.
Responsibilities
Assist the professional staff in the Operating Rooms to facilitate surgical cases by maintaining supplies and equipment including carts, scopes, and video monitors used by nurses and anesthesiologists.
Coordinate all necessary services for repairs with ANCC.
Assist the nursing personnel with surgical instrumentation and the disinfection and sterilization of equipment and instruments.
Perform surgical case picks for same-day and following-day cases; assist in preparing the surgical patient in the Holding Room and care of the post-operative patient in the PACU.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous hospital experience.
Must be physically able to lift and transfer patients/equipment.
BLS or CPR/AED training required.
Salary Range
USD $26.27 - USD $39.42 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
