Overview
Family First Adolescent Services
is a behavioral health treatment center located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, dedicated to helping adolescent boys (ages 12–18) and their families heal, grow, and reconnect. Since its founding in 2014, Family First has served as a trusted resource for families navigating complex mental health, behavioral, and substance use challenges. With a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach, we create personalized treatment plans that address both the surface behaviors and deeper root causes affecting each teen.
Our Comprehensive Care Model Includes
Individual, group, and family therapy, using evidence-based methodologies such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR.
Academic support, ensuring teens stay on track with their education or career readiness while in treatment.
Experiential and holistic therapies, including adventure therapy, equine work, CrossFit, and outdoor activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
Continuing care and alumni support, offering follow-up for up to 12 months post-discharge to help maintain progress and resilience.
Ongoing family engagement, focusing on healing the family system and equipping parents with tools and insights to support lasting change.
All programming is delivered in safe, home-like residential settings in Palm Beach Gardens, designed to foster community, comfort, and focused healing. RN
As a RN, you will be working with compassionate and motivated members of our interdisciplinary treatment team. Our clients present with a variety of mental health, substance use, and behavioral disorders. This position is ideal for individuals interested in a supportive and nurturing treatment setting with a lot of care and attention given to supervision and training.
Location / Shift Details
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Shift: 8 hour shifts. Monday-Friday (7:00am-3:00pm)
The RN Responsibilities Include
Provide and manage nursing care of adolescent male patients receiving Residential level of care for psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and childhood trauma
Perform daily patient assessments
Complete necessary patient documentation in our EMR, Kipu
Coordinate treatment of the patient’s medical or psychosocial needs in collaboration with psychiatric providers, medical providers, therapists, program directors, and case managers
Conduct new patient admissions, including biopsychosocial assessment and medication reconciliation
Medication administration
Communicate with local pharmacies to ensure provider’s orders have been fulfilled
Utilize therapeutic communication
Provide necessary patient education at an age appropriate level
Administer PPD
Preferred Qualifications
ADN or BSN degree
Florida RN license
Experience with adolescents preferred but not required
Experience in psychiatric behavioral health care and/or substance abuse treatment
Proficient documentation skills and habits with EMR system experience
