Unit Highlights:

Our Children’s Emergency Center has 16- dedicated Pediatric beds equipped with technology to care for a wide range of diagnosis.

Our dedicated Nursing staff provides high quality care for our little patients and align with ancillary departments to ensure safe and ‘seamless’ care.

We provide on-going support and education for our Nursing team to support their growth and development.

Our nursing team participates in our Shared Leadership structure where they are part of the decision-making process for changes that impact their practice.

The role you’ll contribute:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.

Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.

Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.

Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.

Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Organizational and multi-tasking skills

Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

Ability to work as a Team player within a unit

Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills

EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)

Education:

Associate's of Nursing [Required]

Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
