Safety Coordinator

Jacko Logistics is growing and we’re looking for a
Safety Coordinator
who will play a critical role in shaping the success of our drivers from Day 1.
This is not a back-office safety role. This person will
own and run our driver orientation program
end-to-end, while also supporting key safety and compliance functions across our fleet.

What You’ll Own
Driver Orientation (Primary Focus):
Lead and run all new driver orientations from start to finish
Prepare all onboarding materials, paperwork, and system access ahead of time
Walk drivers through onboarding, safety protocols, and company expectations
Ensure a professional, organized, and engaging Day 1 experience
Partner with Safety, Ops, and Driver Managers to ensure smooth onboarding transitions
Safety & Compliance Support:
Assist with
DOT and FMCSA compliance
initiatives
Support
random drug/alcohol testing coordination
Monitor and communicate on
Hours of Service (HOS)
Conduct driver outreach calls related to safety and compliance
Help maintain accurate safety records and documentation
Jump in where needed (this is a hands-on, team-first environment)
What You Bring
Required:
Experience in
trucking, logistics, or transportation
Required:
Background in
safety and compliance (DOT/FMCSA)
Strong understanding of
driver onboarding, HOS, and safety protocols
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator: Comfortable leading a room and working 1:1 with drivers
Ability to thrive in a
fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Team player mindset with a willingness to wear multiple hats
