We have the ability to work in several clinical areas ranging from general floors to critical care, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult settings across our three campuses. This position is full time 72‑80 hours per pay period. Most staff schedules consist of rotating 8 or 12‑hour shifts with weekend requirements. On‑call hours may be scheduled. New hires will start with every other weekend and then move to every third after one year of service.

Job Summary
The scope of work for a Respiratory Therapist includes assessment, therapeutic intervention, and education for patients with cardiopulmonary and/or sleep disorders or related complications. What you will do:

Assess patients to prevent, detect, monitor, and manage disease and complications.

Measure patient lung capacity to determine if impairments exist.

Present diagnostic results and treatment suggestions based on patient analysis.

Work in multiple clinical areas ranging from general floors to critical care.

Qualifications
A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program is required; a minimum associate degree or equivalent, as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), is acceptable.

Respiratory Therapists must have thorough knowledge of all procedures, indications, contraindications, hazards, and equipment in respiratory care. They should demonstrate proficiency in using computers for patient documentation and quality data gathering. Completion of orientations, competency validations, and ongoing in-servicing is required.

Must hold current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice and/or have multi‑state licensure privileges as required by position.

Must possess Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials from the NBRC and maintain active status per NBRC credentialing requirements.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Site‑specific specialties such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), etc., must be earned.
