Fifth Grade Lead Teacher
This is a full‑time position for the 2026–2027 academic year. The instructor will teach Language Arts and Math every day to students in the homeroom, and a specialty subject (possibly science, social studies, writing, or grammar) twice per week to all students in fifth grade. They will attend teacher workdays and meetings, and assume duties commensurate with other LCDS full‑time teachers.

The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree is required (advanced degree is preferred), preferably in Education or one of the subjects that would be taught by the candidate (English, Math, Science, Social Studies)
Multiple years of experience teaching students in the age range of the grades the candidate would be teaching is required
Ability to connect and build positive relationships with children
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
Growth mindset and willingness to seek professional development opportunities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort level using technology and incorporating it into teaching
