We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Boonville, MO. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience; if the candidate has an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and their causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements
Minimum 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
BLS certification and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
Proficient knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
