Responsibilities
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical‑surgical setting. Population includes adolescents, young adults, middle adults, mature adults, and geriatric groups. Communicates with physicians, Nurse Manager, House Supervisor or co‑workers, as appropriate, about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Qualifications

Must have Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.

Must have current BLS/CPR.

ACLS / PALS within six months of hire.

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

Education: Graduate of a state approved school of professional nursing practice.

Maintains current licensure in the State of Texas.
