We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Cheyenne, WY. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience and meet the additional requirements listed below.
Responsibilities
As a MedSurg RN, you will conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs. You will perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician. Documenting patient findings and providing education and support to patients' families is essential to this travel nurse position.
Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post‑op patients.
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
Educate patients on surgical procedures.
Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.
Medical Surgical Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty, and lift patients up to 50 pounds at times.

Requirements*: BLS, NIH, 1 Year
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Pay Package
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
