Job Summary
PEMBA is seeking an Audio‑Video Technician to install, troubleshoot, and design audio‑video, lighting control, automation, and related systems for residences and businesses.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and design audio‑video equipment in residential and commercial settings.
Plan and install cabling for new construction and renovations (cat6, fiber, DMX, specific system cables).
Set up audio‑video equipment including receivers, amplifiers, speakers, HDMI/video distribution, and wireless microphones.
Install audio and video solutions in commercial spaces such as conference rooms, restaurants, and churches.
Pull, terminate, and build cable runs for cat6, coax, and speaker cables.
Build and configure equipment racks for installation.
Use desktop computers and related software, ensuring proper network connectivity.
Provide remote support to customers as needed.
Skills Required
Experience planning cabling for audio, networking, video, and automation systems.
Knowledge of audio equipment performance and ability to recommend quality solutions.
Experience setting up and troubleshooting audio‑video equipment.
Experience installing audio and video for commercial spaces.
Experience pulling and terminating cat6, coax, and speaker cables.
Understanding of rack configuration and basic networking.
Proficiency with desktop computers, associated software, and networking.
Skills Desired
Installation experience with Sonos, Denon Heos, Crown Amps, TruAudio speakers, or similar products.
Programming experience with Radio Ra, Homeworks, URC, RTI, Elan, Crestron Home, DMX Lighting, ETC, and/or Savant.
Experience with network routers, switches, wireless access points, and network design.
Knowledge of video switching and tiling.
Proficiency in Excel for bills of materials and quoting.
Experience selling lighting controls, automated shades, and electrical equipment.
Setup experience for phone apps and social media announcements.
Enjoy working with people and learning daily.
Own laptop/desktop.
