Job Overview
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for providing reprocessed supplies and equipment required by all departments that render patient care. In this role, you will ensure that all instruments are sterile, aiding in the maintenance of a safe environment for patients.
Work Hours
This part-time position works 32 hours per week (4-8 hour shifts) Monday‑Friday with no weekends or holidays.
Compensation
Hourly pay ranges from $21.78 to $32.67, adjusted based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities
Knowledgeable in and implement the decontamination, preparation and sterilization of surgical supplies and equipment.
Assemble case carts containing consumable supplies and instrumentation.
Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments.
Identify and assemble multiple types of surgical instruments and instrument sets.
Inspect instruments, replace or send for repairs.
Required Qualifications
1 year experience working with surgical instruments.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).
