Bilingual Machine Operator
Hours and Pay
Monday to Thursday – 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
Pay: $18 an hour
Role Purpose
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating production equipment used in the manufacture of air filters, including but not limited to laminators, sealing, and cutting machines. This role ensures that all operations meet established safety, quality, and throughput standards.
Responsibilities
Set up machines at the start of each shift and during all size changes.
Run all filters produced on the assigned line and check product quality in accordance with standards established by the lead and supervisor.
Own line performance, including output, quality, and uptime, while maintaining accuracy of all production data recorded on the production board and PDC.
Keep production processes compliant with the Quality Policy and maintain adherence to safety, environmental, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
Troubleshoot machine issues or promptly notify the lead for maintenance support.
Perform in-process quality checks as filters move through the line.
Assist with minor machine adjustments to maintain steady production flow.
Communicate material shortages or equipment issues to the lead or supervisor.
At the end of each shift, ensure that the work area is clean and organized.
Physical & Work Conditions
The position requires regular walking, standing, and sitting—67% or more of the time—and constant visual attention throughout the shift.
Reporting & Interactions
The Machine Operator reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and interacts regularly with the Shift Supervisor, Production Lead, Operations Manager, and Human Resources.
Qualifications
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Knowledge of equipment settings and basic start-up functions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong teamwork and attention to detail.
Physical strength and stamina for prolonged standing and lifting.
High level of commitment, creativity, and goal orientation.
