Position Summary
Ensures financial sustainability by compiling and reporting budget information; requesting replacement HVACVR equipment for facilities; submitting warranty claims; reviewing journals and invoices; conducting price comparisons of refrigerant parts and travel-related costs; developing scopes of work for projects such as rooftop units and condenser coil replacements.
Completes work assignments and priorities in HVACR service by applying HVACR policies, using company data and resources, collaborating with management, coworkers, customers and business partners; identifying HVACR priorities, deadlines and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress; determining and recommending improvement opportunities; and adapting to change.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local HVACR regulations and guidelines (building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain) by conducting inspections and making repairs.
Ensures compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart HVACR safety policy and environmental guidelines, including reclaiming ozone‑depleting refrigerants.
Provides required paperwork by completing and submitting expense vouchers, refrigerant logs and work orders.
Manages resources for HVACR maintenance and repair by monitoring refrigerant levels, parts inventory, recording HVACVR purchases, ordering parts and developing relationships with suppliers and contractors.
Maintains working order of HVACR, EMS and digital controls by troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing equipment, performing major and minor preventive maintenance, and coordinating with external service providers.
Provides expert advice and guidance to others on HVACR best practices; supports alignment with customer and business needs.
Builds stakeholder relationships to identify business needs, implement processes, monitor progress, and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
Models compliance with Walmart policies and ethics, integrating them into business plans and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Compensation
Hourly wage range: $23.00 – $45.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid at $0.35 – $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Premiums may apply if criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications
Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field.
Type I/Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
