Pharmacy Tech Supervisor
Schedule: Full time, varied.
Overview
Haywood Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Pharmacy Tech Supervisor to lead pharmacy operations across multiple departments (ICU, PCU/Cardiac, Emergency Department). The role ensures compliance, quality, and staff development in a supportive culture.
Responsibilities
Determine, coordinate, and supervise daily staffing assignments and levels.
Provide direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff; conduct or assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Assess and ensure quality of services delivered and facilitate staff development programs; ensure compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
Perform staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
Lead the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
Refill and maintain Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
Provide education for use of Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
Assist in all aspects of the purchasing function, including ordering products, processing invoices, inventory control, contract compliance, managing shortages, and handling returns.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician associate’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience.
Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred.
Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the NC Board of Pharmacy.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
