As a General Cashier at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will protect the Resort by providing timely deposits and reporting, ensuring system integrity of all Resort settlements, maintaining associated records and databases, supporting current internal control procedures and documents, and assisting the Accounts Payable Clerk.

What will you be doing?
Prepare, balance, and report daily resort cash and gift card transactions; maintain petty cash and audit cashier banks as defined by Resort and Corporate policies
Ensure adequate cash flow for operations year‑round and enforce cash handling policies
Utilize PMS (SMS Host) and all POS (SMS POS, SpaSoft) to ensure accurate settlement transactions
Ensure that Audit Trail is evident throughout all tasks
Report and resolve cash variances
Serve as liaison for associates on cash handling procedures
Support Accounts Payable by processing vendor payments in Birchstreet and Peoplesoft, ensuring compliance with documentation and tax laws
Assist with monthly close duties, accruals, management reporting, and process/system improvements as needed
Prepare management reports as required by accounting management depending on the needs of hotel operations
Perform other duties as assigned
What do you bring to the role?
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in hospitality and accounting preferred.
Work well with minimum supervision
Able to think and act independently
Able to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse situations and collect accurate information and professionally resolve problems
Must have a commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures as they relate to Cash Handling
Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner
Operate calculator, PC, keyboard, and Microsoft 365 applications
Extreme attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
Accuracy with data entry
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends, to ensure that all responsibilities and tasks are completed.
