THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A FARMING CUSTOM APPLICATOR
The typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm with extended hours including weekends during peak season.
As a Farming Custom Applicator, you're the driving force behind safe and precise operations of application equipment, ensuring every task is completed accurately and efficiently. Beyond operating machinery, you also maintain all agronomy equipment, ensuring it remains in top‑notch condition. When you're not behind the wheel, you're ready to pitch in with general labor tasks, keeping things running smoothly on the farm.
Each season, you meticulously calibrate machines to field‑ready status, guaranteeing optimal performance. You're dedicated to professional‑quality work and it shows on and off the field!
QUALIFICATIONS
The knowledge and skills our Farming Custom Applicator needs are:
Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely
Ability to blend fertilizer and follow labels when blending crop protection products
Ability to read maps, follow directions, and operate equipment with computer‑assisted operations
A desire to learn the trade
Excellent hand‑eye coordination
Ability to work well with others and take instructions from agronomy managers
Ability to perform laborious tasks repeatedly
Ability to lift heavy objects, including tools and crops
Ability to operate complex farm machinery and do routine maintenance on the machinery
A valid driver's license and a good driving record
Custom applicator's license/CDL (recommended but not required; we will train)
