GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the LVN Treatment Nurse assists in the dailyoperation of the medical component of the Adult Day Care Center. The LVN Treatment Nurse’sduties include monitoring and maintaining skin integrity, health education of participants andfamilies, the provision of treatments as per the treatment plan and as ordered by the Physician'sdocumentation in the medical record.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide treatments as per physician orders.
2. Provide supplies to participants and caregivers for treatments done at home.
3. Motivate participants to maximize independence and maintain skill levels and encourage fullparticipation in centers program.
4. Document in participants' charts all treatments administered in center.
5. Assist Clinic Manager in the maintenance of adequate nursing supplies required fortreatments in the center, as well as those done at place of residence.
6. Provide patient care as appropriate and under the supervision of the Clinic Manager or thePhysician.
7. Participate in morning meetings as necessary.
8. Cross train to provide coverage for medication nurse as needed.
9. Attend monthly clinic meeting.
10. Maintain the wound care log and wound care checklist.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
