is seeking a Territory Manager to join our team.
Job Overview
The Territory Manager acts as the primary driver for new business, ensuring current customers receive the right products and services, identifying new markets, pursuing opportunities, and maintaining solid customer relations while supporting IDE’s sales and service delivery model.
Primary Responsibilities
Generate new sales and revenue by researching untapped market sectors.
Manage and maintain existing customer relationships through consistent communication.
Qualify prospects, handle minor grievances, collect payments, and liaise with parts and service departments.
Monitor traveling expenses and maintain a cost‑conscious approach to regional travel.
Participate in trade shows and conferences and maintain a log of activity in the CRM.
Develop product knowledge through job site visits and training.
Represent all IDE product lines in the assigned region.
Schedule regular visits, at least once per quarter, to each client.
Provide timely management requests, develop sales forecasts, and track offers.
Follow all IDE policies and procedures and attend annual sales development seminars.
Brand Ambassador Duties
Arrange and schedule sales trips to obtain new leads and opportunities.
Provide and market information on IDE services and product lines.
Introduce new innovations to clients and offer solutions based on IDE resources.
Revenue Expansion Activities
Research and make cold calls to new prospects.
Follow up on leads and close deals.
Understand client needs and challenges.
Investigate clients’ current equipment and tooling status.
Product Knowledge Enhancement
Visit job sites and take notes.
Ask questions during travels or conference calls.
Attend training sessions and conduct research before asking for answers.
Job Requisites
An individual who is personable, a problem solver, self‑motivated, takes initiative, and shows leadership and ethical conduct. Adaptability and intelligence are essential.
Education/Training/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of sales experience in a similar industry.
Skills
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Excellent personnel relationship skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
Ability to manage multiple customer data and priorities.
Attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication.
Knowledge of record‑keeping and filing systems.
Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements
Frequent use of hands, fingers, and wrists.
Office desk work with computer and telephone.
On‑site client visits requiring physical job site inspection.
Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Work Hours and Environment
Office environment with frequent travel to client sites; work may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
Adaptable remote work with consistent travel.
