Job Description
This position is under the guidance of the Exercise Therapist or Exercise Physiologist. They direct and document exercise programs for athletes and client populations.
Posting Specifics
Shift : PRN (as needed). The department hours are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00 am to 12:00 pm Friday. The clinic is closed on Intermountain holidays. The caregiver has 4 hours of scheduled teaching in the pool Monday and Wednesday (3:00 pm and 4:00 pm each hour).

Essential Functions
Delivers exercise plans as outlined in 1:1, small group, and large groups.
Educates clients regarding exercise technique and appropriate use of equipment.
Monitors progress and keeps clients progressing through the program, updating the program as needed.
Documents results and training in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
Maintains equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
Maintains a clean and inviting work environment according to health department codes and facility standards.

Qualifications
Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Education or applied experience in the field of physiology, sports science, or exercise science.
Physical Requirements
Continual need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication as well as listening and understanding spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, especially during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care and accessing needed information.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, including items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.).
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

Hourly rate: $21.88 – $33.77 (actual rate dependent on experience)
