Telecommunications Estimator . They will support telecommunication project teams by preparing cost estimates for bids and proposals. This is a direct placement role on‑site in Tysons Corner, Virginia. This position offers a great opportunity to join rapidly expanding work in the NOVA region.
Responsibilities
Gather data and assist in preparing bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals.
Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications and schedules.
Perform take‑offs from drawings, price change orders and conduct site visits to evaluate constructability.
Identify types and grades of materials and equipment needed and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Required Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in the communications field, preferably with low‑voltage systems.
1–3 years of experience with estimates and proposal development.
Familiarity with communications and low‑voltage equipment, materials, and specifications.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
Experience with contract documents such as drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with estimating software and performing labor and material takeoffs.
AccuBid experience preferred.
Compensation
Salary range: $80,000 – $120,000, depending on experience.
Benefits: health, dental, vision and life insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; paid time off; maternity/paternity leave.
