Job Summary and Responsibilities
CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Night shift Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider to join our well-established hospital-employed group. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care within a regional healthcare leader.
Schedule and Scope
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off shifts (7am - 7pm), Tuesday to Monday at our hospital located in Hixson.
Focus: Inpatient care for adults; no pediatrics, obstetrics, or trauma. No codes (Rapid Response Team handles), no after‑hours call.
Support
Collaborating physician accessible remotely via telehealth for consultation, oversight, and clinical support. Reasonable census and closed ICUs staffed by intensivists.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and prescribe for inpatients.
Order and interpret tests.
Manage discharge planning for inpatients.

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience
Master’s degree in nursing.
3-5 years clinical nursing practice in an acute care setting.
1-3 years previous experience as a NP in an acute or primary care setting or equivalent RN experience.
Required Licensure and Certifications
Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of TN.
Licensed as an RN in the state of TN/GA.
American Heart Association BLS (BLS-CPR).

Pay Range
$174,720 – $174,720 per year.
