Dental Dispensary Assistant
to manage inventory, order and receive supplies, dispense dental instrumentation and materials to students, and support dispensary operations.

Position Summary
Provides routine skills in dental dispensary operations, central sterilization operations, and patient care.
Key Accountabilities
Cleans, disinfects, packages, and sterilizes dental and surgical instruments.
Orders and dispenses instruments, dental materials, and supplies to students and faculty.
Sets up sterile instrument trays for surgical procedures.
Operates ultrasonic cleaners and sterilizers.
Maintains inventory levels and records.
Assists in periodic or annual inventory as required; maintains security of university property in work areas.
Ensures proper utilization and compliance with clinic equipment loan policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum experience: None required; 1 year of experience in customer service, central sterilization, receiving, storing, issuing, and accounting for dental materials and property preferred.
Certification & Skills
None.
Physical Requirements
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive
This position is a security‑sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code 51.215 and Texas Government Code 411.094, and other relevant statutes. Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
