Job Overview
Position: Pharmacy Technician – Part °time
We are seeking a Pharmacy Tech to join our team at Vibra Hospital of Boise.
Vibra Hospital of Boise, located in Boise, ID, is a 40‑bed critical care hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast‑paced and friendly environment where you get to know your patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, fill physician orders and prepare and distribute medications, including intravenous admixtures and extemporaneous drug preparations.
Maintain drug inventory and confidential patient records.
Participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.
Required Skills
High school graduate or equivalent.
Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment.
Valid driver’s license (required in states with multiple facilities requiring delivery to sites).
Additional Qualifications
Six (6) months experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Freedom from illegal use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
