Job Type: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE or 72 hours per week | Night/Day Shifts (Nights Primary)
Schedule: 6 x 12-hour shifts per week, Christmas Even Years plus Every 3rd Weekend

Our Medical‑Surgical (Med‑Surg)/ICU unit is an acute care hospital department where nurses provide care to patients of all ages with a wide range of medical conditions, including those recovering from surgery. This fast‑paced environment emphasizes comprehensive, patient‑centered care, ongoing patient and family education, and efficient discharge planning to support safe transitions of care.
How You'll Contribute
Develops and implements a patient focused nursing plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family.
Cares for patients in accordance with established best practices.
Documents patient care given.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
Makes the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information a priority, using and disclosing only information necessary to perform the function of the job.
Contributes to and assists in maintaining a pleasant patient environment in a safe and orderly manner.
Performs other job duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license (or attain within 90 days of hire) and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
Basic Life Support certification is required (available upon hire).
1‑Year Medical‑Surgical Experience Preferred.
1‑Year Critical Care Experience Preferred (for ICU).
ICU RN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC (within 6 months of hire).
Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required.
