Job Description
AKUA is seeking a LVN licensed in the state of CA. New graduates are welcome to apply. Must have passed NCLEX. Prior experience in mental health, detox/residential drug and alcohol treatment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The LVN works under the supervision of the Clinical Director.
Maintains professional standards and follows the treatment policies of the organization, The Joint Commission and Federal/State laws and regulations.
The LVN is responsible for all medication as ordered by the Medical Director, Program Physician, and for maintaining accurate accounting of all medication received from suppliers and observed from patients.
Responsible for the safekeeping of all medication stock and the records required by the DEA, FDA, JCAHO and ADP.
Responsible for training all clinical staff about medications, medication observation, and medication destruction.
Responsible for all detox assessments including CIWA, COWS, vitals, etc.
Responsible for all medical documentation in the EMR, including all physician notes and medication orders.
May be responsible for urine collection and processing in conjunction with clinical technicians, reading test results as ordered by Program Physicians and completing all related forms.
Responsible for coordinating all internal and external medical and lab appointments.
Qualifications & Skills
License/Credentials: LVN/LPN (required)
Current CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
Valid CA Driver's License (required)
Current Health Screen (required)
TB Clearance (required)
