Responsibilities
The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees and designated areas of the hospital. The practice shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal and DEA laws, TJC Standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities include collaboration with physicians on drugs and dosing, education of nursing staff, patients and physicians regarding medications, medication safety initiatives, patient profiles, avoidance and reporting of adverse drug reactions, mixing of IV admixtures and nutritional supplements, and narcotic accountability.
Requirements
ACLS & BLS certification
Arizona Pharmacist License
Inpatient acute hospital experience required
Minimum 2 years of experience
Board certified and/or accredited pharmacy residency (preferred, not required)
Schedule
Shift: 11 hours nights with 7 nights on / 7 nights off. Work schedule is Wednesday through Tuesday. No on‑call required.
Compensation
Pay package: $115 per shift, based on 11‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
