Overview
The Personal Care Assistant provides compassionate, non-medical support to clients in their homes, helping them remain safe, independent, and comfortable. This role focuses on assisting with daily living activities while promoting dignity, respect, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
Provide medication reminders.
Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.
Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying living areas).
Offer companionship and emotional support.
Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
Escort clients to meals, appointments, or activities.
Monitor and report changes in condition or behavior.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Qualifications
Previous caregiving experience preferred.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to pass background check.
Work Environment
One-on-one care in client homes.
Flexible scheduling (day, evening, weekend shifts available).
