Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist I works independently and/or assists physicians in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating the x‑ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images in the ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for imaging procedures and position them appropriately.
Operate x‑ray equipment to obtain high‑quality diagnostic images.
Work independently in diagnostic rooms and collaborate with physicians and other team members.
Maintain a safe patient environment and adhere to the principles of “First Do No Harm.”
Foster teamwork, engagement, and community involvement.
Leverage diversity and inclusion to support quality care.
Adapt care according to patient age and specific needs.
Qualifications
Education: 2‑Year/Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of an ARRT‑approved Radiography Program, required.
Experience: One year in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography – RT(R), required; NH Medical Group Office Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography – RT(R), required.
Skills: Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories, analytical ability, basic computer skills, ability to modify care per patient age, strong communication skills, independent functioning in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x‑ray equipment, adaptability to various situations and procedures.
