MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic
Occupational Therapist
to join its instructional staff 2 DAYS A WEEK at
Buxton Center Elementary School, Hollis Elementary and Edna Elementary .
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will determine the need for intervention, identify type and length of intervention, coordinate findings with other professionals and parents and document the assessment itself. The candidate will employ specific therapeutic techniques to remediate problems identified through the assessment process with consistent contact at least once a week in individual or small group treatment.
Qualifications
Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study; State of Maine licensing in content area; a valid
Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check
(CHRC); experience related to the instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
