Responsibilities
The Summer Employment Opportunity Program (SEOP) provides temporary summer employment opportunities to children, step‑children and spouses of Mayo Clinic employees enrolled in a college degree granting program of study. It is intended to help supervisors accommodate employee vacation requests when seasonal work volumes are high.

Inpatient: This position offers an opportunity to see firsthand how Mayo’s phlebotomy labs play an integral role in a patient’s life. Phlebotomy has been said to be the gateway to the body and here at Mayo, lab work is a vital part of the treatment for a patient in the hospital. The successful candidate will assist in a busy, fast‑paced laboratory environment and gain experience diagnosing patients in the hospital setting.

Qualifications

Must be a child, step‑child, or spouse of a current Mayo Clinic employee.

Must be currently enrolled in a degree granting program.

Must be returning to college in the fall.

Must be able to work a minimum of 10 weeks.

Must be 18 years of age or older by the start of the program.

SEOP employees should not expect vacation/days‑off to be approved during their commitment.
