As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff, you will support medication management, patient monitoring, and a variety of clinical and office tasks.

This position offers broad clinical exposure through hands‑on involvement in patient care, compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Work Schedule
Full‑time, Monday‑Friday. Start times: 7:00 am or 8:30 am; shift ends 3:30 pm or 5:00 pm (flexibility). No weekends or holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating health maintenance information, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care.

Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.

Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.

Perform administrative and clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program (as designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee).

OR military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.

Completion of a clinical externship (extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of a formal externship).

Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within the new hire period.

Current demonstrated clinical proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

Medical Assisting certification.

Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship.

Physical Requirements

Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

May require extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting.

Good visual acuity with or without corrective lenses.

Light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly.

Work may require walking or standing to a significant degree, or may involve pushing or pulling of arm or leg controls in a production‑rate pace.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $19.75. Maximum hourly: $27.75. The pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined after considering factors such as experience, skill set, and education. The pay range does not include any applicable pay practices such as shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package.
