Responsibilities
Master insurance verification before services are provided, prevent claim denials, and maximize revenue capture.
Explain medical costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities clearly to patients.
Identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues proactively.
Deliver exceptional patient service, especially during financial conversations.
Greet patients warmly and maintain the clinic’s professional image.
Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check‑ins efficiently.
Maintain organized records and strictly follow HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
Experience with insurance verification and medical billing (required).
Ability to explain complex insurance concepts to patients with empathy and clarity.
Detail‑oriented with strong accuracy in data handling.
Previous role as Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or similar in a medical office.
Proficiency with medical billing software and EMR systems.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to find mutually beneficial billing solutions.
Positive attitude even when handling challenging financial conversations.
High school diploma required; X‑Ray Technician, Medical Assistant, or related certification a plus.
Compensation
Pay range: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, education, and other factors.
Location & Schedule
Location: State‑of‑the‑art urgent care facility. Schedule: Full‑time with flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
