Description
This position cares for patients before, during and after an electrophysiology procedure. This position cares for Structural heart (including Watchman), Lead extractions, ablations, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, mapping, post-procedure care and patient education.
Responsibilities
Performs nursing care for the above outlined procedures, but not limited to:
Circulate and assists during cases, including sterically drop procedural supplies on tray, scrubbing in the case, running for supplies.
Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.
Assists Radiologic Technologists circulate cases, sterically drop procedural supplies on tray.
