VCA City Cats Hospital
is hiring a full-time
Experienced Veterinary Assistant
to join our team. Located in Arlington, Massachusetts, we serve the communities of Arlington, Cambridge, Somerville, Boston, and surrounding areas. We are a busy 6-doctor, feline-exclusive veterinary hospital open 6 days a week. We provide wellness exams, preventative care, vaccines, diagnostic services, surgical procedures, spays, neuters, dental procedures, and mass removals. City Cats is also a boarding facility with overnight accommodations for cats.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.

Weekend rotation is required.
What You'll Do
Whether you are a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) in training, or a veterinary assistant, you will use the knowledge you have gained. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Compassionate patient care
Client education and communication
Patient assessment
Anesthesia and surgery assisting
Radiology
Dentistry
Catheter placement
Venipuncture
Laboratory work
Pharmacy
Medical recordkeeping
Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates must be positive and motivated. The hospital team meets frequently, and ideas and suggestions are encouraged to help us continue to grow.
