Love working with early learners? Join us as the full-time Lead Teacher in our two-year-old room at 57th Street Learning Center, Monday–Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., and create a safe, fun, and engaging space every day.
What You’ll Do
Lead Classroom Operations & Supervision: Oversee lesson planning, curriculum implementation, supply needs, and ensure compliance with state licensing and BGCA rules while actively supervising children for safety and engagement.
Mentor & Collaborate: Guide and support Assistant Teachers, fostering a positive, effective learning environment and coordinating classroom activities.
Plan & Facilitate Activities: Lead age-appropriate activities that promote physical, intellectual, and social development, providing materials for play, art, music, and storytelling.
Support Daily Care & Communication: Assist with diapering, potty training, meals, rest
ap schedules, classroom cleanliness, daily documentation, parent/guardian communication, field trips, and child assessments.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
A Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Associate’s Degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.
Previous experience in childcare or another caregiving role is preferred.
BGCSE encourages all lead teachers to pursue a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential to further their professional growth and offers support to employees interested in enrolling in a CDA program.
Certifications: CPR Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days with in house training).
Skills: Reliable, excellent time management, strong interpersonal and communication skills, initiative, and teamwork.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally, stand, walk, kneel, and engage actively with children.
